French self-taught painter, born in 1965 in Amboise and installed near Blois, Xavier Pougnon expresses his taste for detail.
With a set of still lifes carefully put in scene, where the glass meets the metal, the freshness of the prawns opposes the warmth of roast chicken, thoroughness is here exalted, precision... unbridled. Some tables are made with colored pencils, technical demanding when it comes to test the patience and observation work and amazing for what is close rendering of photorealism.
